Work in Progress

I have notebook upon notebook of first drafts of short stories or flash fiction. When I remember a certain one, I start to track it down, with thoughts of resurrecting it, but then, whilst I'm hunting it down, I may come across another story I'd forgotten, and I'll go off down a different path. I would love to hide away with all my notebooks and sift through them page by page, to pull out all the ones I know are worth crafting and honing. However, having just published my first collection of short stories, I think, for the time being, I will concentrate on my poetry and novel unless, that is, I come across a story, lurking in one of my many notebooks, that just won't go away.
